William B. Meyer's Warehouse and Order Management systems are hosted
on an IBM platform. This platform is a participant of the 'Open system
Architecture', which allows us to seamlessly integrate with other
IBM and non-IBM systems. Our software incorporates Symbol Real-Time Radio
Frequency devices to accurately inventory, track and trace all product
throughout its lifecycle.
We provide full web-based applications for all of our remote users
ensuring immediate real-time access to their information. The
integration of our system to communicate project management information
instantaneously is also a very valuable tool many of our clients
take
advantage of. An example would be to post daily work orders online
for
review, record staff hours and locations throughout the day, scanning
and posting documents including electronic signatures on-line for
immediate review. All of the above have proven to significantly reduce
paperwork and streamline the overall efficiencies of a project.
Our Information Technology Group employs a detailed Disaster Recovery
and Business Continuity plan. This plan incorporates the daily backup
of all applications and data, which is stored off-site in an
environmentally controlled data vault.
Our Inventory and Warehouse management software is also positioned
to integrate the new Palm Pilot hardware devices for remote applications.
These devices can be provided to our staff to remotely scan all product
to be moved, denoting operator initials, time, location and item
description. Once the data is scanned into the handheld device, if
applicable an electronic signature can be captured and posted to
the intranet for verification and review.
William B. Meyer is a technology driven company. We pride ourselves
on our ability to apply sound and cost effective business technology
solutions.
